Upon leaving the State Attorney’s Office, Ms. Jacobs opened her own solo practice where she handled Family Law cases as well as court-appointed criminal defendants. She also aligned her herself with a firm shortly after Hurricane Irma to assist that firm in in handling its huge influx of property claims, and set up their Early Resolution Unit, settling hundreds of cases within an 18-month period.
Ms. Jacobs has a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Miami. Her two children, now 16 and 20, are her greatest joy, and she has been both a Soccer Coach and a Dance Mom for years. Superhero movies and science fiction books are her best way to unwind.
